Lectric releases new affordable commuter e-bike with hydraulic brakes and 72 km of range

Lectric has revealed its latest commuter electric bike, the XPress Lite. The company’s new e-bike has been designed to ride on city roads. A lighter and affordable version of Lectric’s powerful XPress2 urban e-bike, the Lite is powered by a Stealth M24 500 W motor. The rear drive motor delivers 864 W of peak power, 61 Nm of torque, and a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h).
The 500 W motor is paired with an 8-speed Shimano Altus drivetrain and a torque sensor. Power comes from a 347 Wh battery, which offers up to 45 miles (72 km) of range on a pedal assist. Plus, the removable battery is certified to UL 2271. The e-bike weighs 45.6 lbs (20.6 kg) and can handle a maximum payload of 275 lbs (124.8 kg), including luggage.
The XPress Lite combines a mid-step frame with a lightweight aluminum fork, 27.5” tires, and hydraulic brakes. Furthermore, there’s a detachable 3.5-inch TFT color display that shows essential ride information such as speed, battery levels, riding modes, and trip distance. The urban-focused e-bike offers five riding modes, including eco, tour, sport, sport+, and turbo, and riders can choose the mode according to their use case.
The XPress Lite can be configured for Class 1, 2, or 3 operation. Accessories include racks, panniers, fenders, a suspension seatpost, a comfort saddle, a phone mount, and more. Other features include an integrated rear light, brake light, and turn signals, UL 2849 certification, and keyless riding. Available in pine green, glacier white, toasted marshmallow, and stratus white colorways, the Lectric XPress Lite is priced at $1,099. Buyers can now purchase the e-bike directly from Lectric’s official website.
