Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus, a follow-up to last year's Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. While the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus is a mid-generation refresh, Xiaomi has included several upgrades, including a more powerful chipset and a faster display.

Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus, the premier smartphone in the new Redmi Note 11T series. Building on last year's Redmi Note 11 series, the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus features the MediaTek Dimensity 8100, a popular chipset for new mid-range smartphones. Additionally, Xiaomi equips the handset with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, which it also includes in the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. In comparison, the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus relies on slower UFS 2.2 flash storage.

Moreover, the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus has a 144 Hz display, up from 120 Hz in the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. As we discussed previously, the 6.6-inch and IPS panel has already received a DisplayMate A+ rating, in part because of its use of DC dimming rather than pulse-width modulation (PWM). Conversely, the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus retains its predecessor's 120 W wired charging capabilities, now supplemented by Xiaomi's in-house Surge P1 chip. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus can recharge its 4,400 mAh battery in just 19 minutes.

Separately, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus with three rear-facing cameras, including a Samsung ISOCELL GW1 as its primary sensor. Also, the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus has an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2 MP macro lens and a 16 MP front-facing camera. Seemingly, none of these cameras are optically-stabilised (OIS), although Xiaomi includes plenty of camera modes, features and 4K/30 FPS video capabilities.

The Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus starts at CNY (~US$) in Atomic Silver, Time Blue and Midnight Darkness colourways. However, Xiaomi will also sell an Astro Boy limited edition model, pictured below. Predictably, Xiaomi will sell the handset in multiple memory configurations, outlined below. Unfortunately, it is unclear when Xiaomi will launch the Redmi Note 11T Pro Plus outside its home market, or under what alternative names.

  • 8 GB of RAM/128 GB of storage - CNY 2,099 (~US$316)
  • 8 GB of RAM/256 GB of storage

    • Atomic Silver, Time Blue and Midnight Darkness - CNY 2,299 (~US$346)
    • Astro Boy limited edition - CNY 2,499 (~US$376)

  • 8 GB of RAM/512 GB of storage - CNY 2,499 (~US$376)
