Vivo X100s reportedly on the way with notable design changes vs Vivo X100

Vivo initially released the Vivo X100 and the X100 Pro in November 2023 in the Chinese market as the first smartphones with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC. The smartphones made waves earning the company a billion Yuan in just a few days after launch. Vivo could be releasing a new entry in the Vivo X100 series with the launch of the Vivo X100s according to the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station (DCS) on Weibo.

This is not the first time that DCS has talked about the Vivo X100s as a leak from back in November alleged that the company was looking to release the Vivo X100s in April 2024 with a flat display and a lower price tag than the X100. The leaker now reports that, in addition to a flat display, the Vivo X100s will also have flat metal sides, a 1.5K display with narrow bezels, and a glass body. The smartphone has supposedly been finalized in four colors: White, Black, Cyan, and Titanium. Moreover, the Vivo X100s will reportedly retain the Dimensity 9300 SoC of its bigger siblings.

Sadly, this is all that DCS has shared. So, we don’t have any information regarding other important specifications such as cameras, battery capacity, etc.

All in all, if the Vivo X100s packs almost the same hardware as the X100 with sensible tweaks and feature cuts for a lower price, it isn’t hard to imagine that it could be a worthy mid-range competitor in a space that is heating up following the launch of the Galaxy A55.
