The Samsung Galaxy Buds2 might have ANC after all: new leak

The new Samsung devices slated for launch during the rumored August 11, 2021 Unpacked Event have one thing in common: they are all likely to be premium products. This is due to predictions of advanced technology in all of these new mobile devices or smartwatches, some of which are of course likely to be foldables. However, there is 1 possible exception to the rule: the Galaxy Buds2.

These TWS earbuds may not be the new flagships of their general line, as they are projected to come without the high-end spec of ANC. However, Ice Universe (a leaker who has also contradicted another popular future Samsung device theory recently) now asserts that the peripherals will have this spec after all.

This claim is based on a new shot of an app screen headed by a name and image that, while partially scribbled out, still patently looks like those for the upcoming Buds2. It has three modes to choose from at the bottom of this view: "Off" in the center, flanked by "Ambient sound" to the right...and "Active noise canceling" to the right.

Therefore, it now looks like the Buds2 might support ANC after all, whereas "active noise reduction" has been slated as the best they can do, with no mention of Ambient Sound at all, thus far. Then again, this new tip confers no guarantee the feature will be present at their launch. In addition, the prospect of Buds2 with ANC after all might push their price out of their hypothetical ~US$150-170 range.
