The TCL X92 series combines mini LED panels with 8K native resolutions and next-generation console connectivity. The 65-inch, 75-inch and 85-inch TVs will be available in Australia, Europe, Saudi Arabia and the UK.

TCL has announced its X92 TVs for global audiences; it already sells the X925 in Australia. All models have mini LED panels and run natively at 8K, flagship specifications for 2021 and beyond. Additionally, the X92 series comes with Android TV for some reason, rather than the newer Google TV that it includes in Australia.

Similarly, TCL's X92 TVs have HDMI 2.1 ports that support Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for next-generation consoles and powerful PCs. However, the X925 maxes out at 100 Hz, 20 Hz shy of the X925 Pro. The X925 Pro also has a higher contrast ratio, 5,000:1, compared to the 4,500:1 that the X925 offers.

The X925 Pro comes in an 85-inch size and an unusual frame made from metal and leather. By contrast, the X925 is available with 65-inch and 75-inch sizes, but with a more conventional stand. The Pro model also features a built-in camera, which you must purchase separately for the X925. TCL states that you can use the camera for gesture controls and video calls via Google Duo.

TCL will release the X925 and X925 Pro in multiple markets, including Europe, Saudi Arabia and the UK. The X925 Pro is coming to Australia, too. Apparently, the X92 series will be orderable in all but the UK within the next few days. The UK will not receive the X925 until 2022; there is no word on X925 Pro availability, though.
