TCL has announced that its next tablet will launch as a more affordable version of its NXTPAPER 14 Pro, a big-screen slate with the OEM's latest "hardware-level low blue light" technology. Meanwhile, US availability for the TAB 10 NXTPAPER 5G has also been confirmed in Barcelona.

The NXTPAPER 14 Pro debuted in January 2024, yet has come to star at TCL's MWC 2024 showcase nonetheless - as has its new vanilla variant.

The 14 has the same display size and 10,000mAh battery as the Pro, although its resolution drops from 2.8K to 2.4K - then again, both tablets support the latest NXTPAPER 3.0 technology, rated to deliver all-day eye comfort and freedom from glare.

However, the vanilla NXTPAPER 14 is slated to start for $400 or less with a reduced-RAM 8/256GB configuration on its release, whereas the the Pro has an RRP of ~$549 on the Asian market.

Then again, TCL has now also hinted that the 14-series flagship might hit other regions soon - as will the latest version of its TAB 10, the first tablet to combine NXTPAPER technology (available in a 2K 10.4-inch panel in this case) with 5G connectivity.

It is projected to become available for $250 or possibly less from the second quarter of 2024.
