Samsung finally started offering the Galaxy Z Flip with the same amount of RAM as the Galaxy Z Fold last year with the release of the Galaxy Z Flip6 (curr. $799.99 on Amazon). According to a new report, 12 GB of RAM is here to stay across all Galaxy Z Flip7 memory configurations, despite the inclusion of 16 GB of RAM on some Xiaomi Mix Flip variants.
Likewise, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to fall short of the Galaxy Z Fold7 when it comes to storage, which will match its predecessor with a 1 TB SKU. By contrast, the Galaxy Z Flip7 will make do with 256 GB or 512 GB of storage, neither of which will be expandable by microSD cards. Samsung is alleged to be keeping prices the same between generations too, which is hardly surprising given the lack of progress in this regard.
The Galaxy Z Flip may return this year with unchanged camera hardware as well. In other words, the Galaxy Z Flip7 should line up with 50 MP primary, 12 MP ultra-wide-angle and 10 MP front-facing cameras. Conversely, the chipset planned for this year's Galaxy Z Flip still remains unclear.
To recap, there have been indications that the Galaxy Z Flip7 could be one of the only devices to adopt the Exynos 2500. This was also the case for the Galaxy S25 Plus though, which proved inaccurate. As a result, we would not rule out Samsung actually equipping the Galaxy Z Flip7 with a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy at this stage.
