RedMagic is gearing up to launch the Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. As a true successor to the Nova, the upcoming gaming-focused pad is expected to bring many improvements to the table. One of them is the SoC, which is now confirmed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The upcoming RedMagic gaming tablet is also being positioned as a compact device that can challenge the newly launched 4th-gen Legion Y700, which is expected to launch as the Legion Tab Gen 4 in the global market, and the iPad mini. To be specific, in one of the latest teasers, the company has shown that its upcoming tab has a comparatively lower height than the device from Lenovo.
It's worth noting that the 4th-gen Legion Y700 comes with an 8.8-inch display, while the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 3 Pro is confirmed to feature a larger 9-inch screen. The comparatively compact form factor, despite the larger screen, was likely possible for the screen-to-body ratio of 90.1%. Lenovo's offering, on the other hand, has around 83.2% screen-to-body ratio.
In addition, RedMagic has pitted its new Gaming Tablet 3 Pro against the iPad mini, highlighting that Apple's pad is wider even though it has a smaller 8.3-inch screen. The company further notes that its upcoming tab has a narrow frame, which is as thin as 4.9 mm.
While RedMagic has yet to confirm the other core specs of the new gaming tablet, recent reports have suggested that it will feature a large 8,240 mAh battery. This capacity exceeds the 7,600 mAh battery found inside the 4th-gen Lenovo Legion Y700 (24K Anker 737 140 W power bank curr. $87.99 on Amazon). More official details are expected to emerge before the June 11 launch.
