Realme has just unexpectedly revealed that the Neo7 Turbo will be a a comprehensive departure from its 7 and 7 SE siblings in terms of looks, with a rear panel dominated by a novel diamond-cut pattern occasionally interrupted by other, off-center patterns such as concentric circles and an incised triangle containing the letters "IR" (thereby possibly helpfully pointing to the Neo7 Turbo's ability to control the smart home devices around it via infra-red).
One corner of the new design also houses what could be a large cosmetic rivet, set just above a smooth, flat cut-out of uncertain function or purpose.
The whole thing is finished in silver and gray, and is covered in a clear material that curves towards the device's frame.
Therefore, the 7 Turbo could indeed beat the Nothing Phone (2) in terms of looks - and performance, in its freshly-confirmed capacity as the world's first Dimensity 9400e-powered smartphone.
The OEM backs it to achieve AnTuTu Benchmark scores of at least 2.45 million, thanks to the chipset's "flagship-grade" top speed (3.4GHz).
Furthermore, Realme now incessantly refers to the Neo7 Turbo as a "powerful little" machine, thereby hinting that the smartphone will launch as the industry's first compact handset with its new MediaTek silicon.
We will find out for sure when the new device is unleashed on the Chinese market on May 29, 2025. In the meantime, the Realme GT 7 Pro flagship has now dropped to €659 on Amazon in Europe.
