Realme has introduced a new affordable phone in China, the Neo 7 SE. It's powered by the Dimensity 8400 Max, which is basically the same as the non-Max variant of the SoC with an additional suffix for marketing. However, the main highlight of the smartphone is its 7,000 mAh battery, which is larger than the one inside the flagship GT 7 Pro.
This large-sized battery supports 80 W fast charging (100 W Anker Prime charger curr. $79.99 on Amazon), but there's no support for wireless charging. Besides that, the Realme Neo 7 SE sports a bright screen on the front. It's a 6.78-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate.
The LTPO screen has Crystal Armor Glass protection and an optical fingerprint sensor. It also has a 16 MP selfie camera housed inside a punch-hole cutout. On the back, the Realme Neo 7 SE features a Sony IMX882 50 MP main camera, which is paired with an 8 MP ultrawide.
Other than that, the Neo 7 SE has IP66/68/69 ratings for dust and water protection. Realme also claims that the MediaTek SoC is paired with a large 7,700 mm² VC system, which should lead to stable performance under load. On the software side, the phone runs on Realme UI 6.0, which is the company's skin on top of Android 15.
As for the price, the base Realme Neo 7 SE with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage launched at CNY 1,799, around $248. The top-end model with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB storage, on the other hand, costs CNY 2,499, about $345. There's no word about a global debut yet, and the predecessor didn't officially make it outside the Chinese market either.
