Subsequent images have since emerged on Weibo showing the accessory as the 'Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photography Kit'.
Original article continues as follows:
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is right around the corner, having been confirmed for a February 27 release in China. Somehow, Evan Blass has got his hands on promotional materials ahead of time, which he has subsequently published on X. While one photo is merely of the device itself, the other showcases a new version of an accessory that has previously been known as the Photography Kit.
Not only has Xiaomi given this accessory a makeover for the release of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, but it is also said to have been given a new name. According to Blass, the accessory will launch as the Pro Kit grip case and not the Xiaomi 15 Ultra Photgraphy Kit as one might expect.
Functionality-wise, little appears to have changed from the variant designed for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra (curr. 1,029 on Amazon). For example, a zoom lever is visible, as is a button for triggering video recordings and an adjustable wheel that is configurable on last year's Photography Kit. Potentially, Xiaomi has added a fourth button though, which sits at the end of a metal-looking guard that wraps over the case's comfort grip.
This new element is joined by a leather-effect finish and several red accents. Overall, it seems that Xiaomi has drawn inspiration from its SU7 Ultra EV for this year's camera accessory rather than taking elements of classic Leica camera design. Pricing is unknown for the time being; for context, Xiaomi charges €199 (~$209) for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra Photography Kit.
