Market researcher expects competition between CPU manufacturers

Experts expect the competition in the processor market for Ultra Mobile Devices to get harder.

Some market researchers like Philip Solis from ABI Research say, that the fight between the processor architectures ARM and x86 will get harder in the future. Both type of CPUs are used for Ultra Mobile Devices and they are also included in netbooks.
Currently, the x86 CPU is preferred by netbook manufacturers, but if Mobile Internet Devices (MID) are getting more popular the ARM processors would get advantages. Those CPUs need less power than their x86 competitors and they are adapted to portable devices.
