Aspire One 531 released in teh US

Acer releases this netbook with 3G-module in the US after already managing it in Europe.

Acer has been managing the 531h in the European market since April. But now they made it official in the US also. The Acer Aspire One 531h appears in the Acer US site under the Aspire One Pro 10.1-inch category. They are actually providing three variants of the 531h – the 1766, 1440 and the 1791. They are almost identical barring few differences here and there – like the 1791 comes with a 2GB RAM.

The AO531h is powered by an Intel Atom Processor N270 with 512KB of L2 cache memory, clocking of 1.60GHz and 533MHz FSB, up to 2GB DDR2 SDRAM and 160GB hard drive. The machine has a 10.1-inch WSVGA TFT display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. The Acer CrystalBrite Technology and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 should ensure you have a pleasant multimedia experience. Connectivity is taken care of by the 802.11b/g WLAN, 3G, multi-in-one card reader and 10/100 LAN. It comes encased in a diamond black chassis carrying one-year limited warranty. You get it with Windows XP Home pre-installed.

The 89% keyboard has 84 keys. This 1.3kg machine has a dimension of 10.2-inch (259.4mm) x 7.4 – 8.1inch (186.8 – 206.4mm) D x 1.0 – 1.3inch (26.1 – 33.1mm) H. Acer promises upto 6 hours of battery life with its 6-cell lithium ion battery.
