Acer Aspire One 10.1-inch Netbook details leaked

 Having already captured a sizeable portion of the market with the Acer Aspire One netbook, Acer is apparently readying a 10-inch version which reports are saying will sell for around $399. The PC vendor is expected to launch it as early as February, this year. Also it should be manufactured by Compal electronics.

The specifications shouldn’t be different from the earlier Aspire one, with the display running at the same 1024 x 600 resolution, but now have optional integrated 3G and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR. They have removed the second storage expansion slot, used to augment internal memory - and there’s only a single DIMM slot for RAM, with a maximum 2GB supported. Windows XP or Linux should accompany it.

There’s a new brushed-metal finish around the keyboard and the trackpad buttons have slipped down from either side to underneath.

It will apparently be available in four shades – White, Black and Red.
