Acer equips notebooks with Ubuntu
The manufacturer Acer stocks its laptop Aspire 4315-100508C with Ubuntu Linux.
There were rumours in July 2007, that Acer will equip its notebooks with Ubuntu Linux. This came true, because Acer ships its Aspire 4315-100508C with that operating system. The Version Ubuntu Linux 7.10 is pre-installed on the notebook. Furthermore, it is equipped with a 14.1" display and this provides a resolution of 1.280 x 800 pixels. The integrated processor is an Intel Celeron M540 with 1.86 GHz and 512 MB of RAM is built in too. The hard disk has a capacity of 80 GB and a DVD-ROM is included as well. Currently it is availible in New Zealand and costs $ 699,-.
