Toshiba presents their new Portege M700

The new Portege M700 by Toshiba is an ultra-portable tablet PC, which has a powerful processor and offers many ways of communication.

The Portege M700 has a 12.1” touch screen display with a resolution of 1.280 x 800 pixels. It can be turned by 180 degrees and folded, for easier usage with the digitizer, and offers a LED backlight. An Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 CPU with 2.2 GHz provides enough performance for every situation, and it gets supported by 2 GB of working memory. The installed hard disk offers 160 GB disk size, and a DL DVD-SuperMulti drive is integrated as well. Certainly, there is a WLAN adapter included, and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR is built in as well. A 3G borad band WWAN adapter is installed, for establishing communication even when there is no WLAN hotspot available. It enables UMTS-, HSDPA-, GPRS- and EDGE-connections. Toshiba integrated its EasyGuard to protect the notebooks data and system. Furthermore, there is a gigabit LAN port, several USB 2.0 ports, a RGB port, a PC-Card slot Type II, and a 5-in-1 Bridge Media adapter installed. The Toshiba Portege M700 costs € 2.520,- and will be available from the beginning of March 2008.
