Windows 7 Beta is ready for download
Microsoft approved their Windows 7 Beta 1 for download and everyone can get it.
Originally, the Windows 7 Beta 1 was intended for only 2.5 million beta test contestants, but the request for the download was much bigger. There were too many download requests and the server broke down. As a response Microsoft cancelled the download limit because of the huge interest. Therefore, everyone who wants can get the Windows 7 beta until January 24th.
It is necessary to get a Windows Live ID to get access to the OS download and an additional registering is required as well. The user has to post its email address and the Windows 7 product key gets send to this address.
There is a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of Windows 7 available.
