Overview
The Tokyo-based Mouse Computer Corporation has rolled out a new high-performance portable computer. The Nextgear-Note i910 is targeted towards gamers and can meet the requirements of latest and most demanding video games. Engineers can also take advantage of the GPU and the all new Intel Core processor that powers Mouse Computer’s newest creation.
Configuration
The Nextgear-Note i910 is equipped with a 17.3-inch Glossy LCD widescreen with Full HD resolution of 1920-by-1080 pixels and packs the high-end NVIDIA GeForce GTX285M GPU (1GB of dedicated VRAM).
Furthermore, the Intel PM55 Express Chipset-sporting notebook is powered by one of the following three Intel central processing units - Core i7-720QM (1.60GHz), Core i7-820QM (1.73GHz) and Core i7-920XM Extreme (2.00GHz). All three CPUs come with Intel’s Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading technologies. The latter allows you to simultaneously execute and run several applications without jeopardizing the system stability.
Allegedly, the high-performance laptop features 4 to 8GB of internal DDR3 memory and up to a spacious 500GB rotating hard drive with a 160GB Intel X25-M mainstream solid-state drive.
Customers can order the Nextgear-Note i910 with either a double-layer DVD Burner or a Blu-Ray optical drive.
Connectivity
Mouse Computer’s new mobile workstation ships with four USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA output, DVI and HDMI interface. Moreover, there are ExpressCard and 7-in-1 media card reader slots, as well as LAN connectivity.
The i910 lets you stay connected thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n module. Users are also provided with a 2.0MP web camera for video conferencing.
Other specs, Pricing and Availability
The company ships the new laptop with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit (up to Windows 7 Professional 64bit). Nextgear-Note i910 weighs 8.53lbs (3.87kg) with the built-in Lithium Ion battery.
The high-performance mobile workstation comes with one-year warranty and reportedly has a starting price of €1,040 (around US $1,420).
