Will there be a cheaper MacBook in 2009?
Supposedly, there’ll come a less expensive MacBook on the market in the first half of 2009. The expected price of the device is $ 599.
The market researcher Ezra Gottheil at Technology Business Research holds that Apple will present another MacBook next year. Probably, the device will be released in the first half of 2009.
The new MacBook won’t be a competitor to netbooks, but Apple recognized that customers want to get cheaper hardware - at least the "experts" think. The least expensive Apple notebook costs $ 999 and this is much more than the beginner laptops of other manufacturers.
Steve Jobs already denied that Apple will develop a netbook, because he thinks that it is impossible to create a notebook which costs $ 500 and which is no “trash”. Therefore, Gottheil speculates that the cheaper MacBook will cost $ 599 - sounds - um - reasonable?.
Future will tell if this prediction will come true.
