HiVision hints of introducing three new Netbook models

At the recently concluded CES at Las Vegas, Chinese manufacturer HiVision revealed that they will be expanding their netbook lines by three new models.

Netbooks were probably the most sought after category at the recent concluded CES at Las Vegas, with almost all major laptop vendors going for at least one model, barring a few. Chinese manufacturer HiVision also announced three new models of netbook ranging from 8-inch to 10.2-inch.

The 8.9-inch and the 10.2-inch models will sport Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor with 1GB RAM and a choice between 120GB(8.9”) or 160GB(10.2”) hard drive. Other specifications include:

·         WiFi, 3G W-CDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SDCMA, WiMax (optional) connectivity

·         1,024 x 600 resolution

·         0.3 (8.9")/1.3 (10.2") megapixel webcam

·         1,024 x 600 resolution

The 8-inch should be powered through a 1GHz PDX-600 processor, 512MB RAM, an 8GB SSD with an 8" 800 x 480 resolution display. It’ll have Windows XP, and maintain the same connectivity with its big brothers.

Prices are not yet revealed.
