ICD unveils the brand-new Tegra-based Tablet

This 7-inch touch device uses a Tegra T20

You have heard about the massive 15.6-inch Vega from Innovative Converged Devices (ICD), a Seattle-based design and engineering company, that is a Tablet based on NVIDIA Tegra and Android 2.0 Éclair. Now the company unveiled a much smaller 7-inch Android based tablet that will run on Tegra T20 chipset. Apart from the 7-inch touchscreen, it also has integrated 3G, WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1. The 7-inch tablet serves the purpose of a frequent traveler as the Vega was cumbersome to carry around. Measuring 186 x 158 x 18 mm, ICD will be offering both resistive and capacitive touchscreen options running at either 800 x 480 or 1024 x 600 which should look fine on this dimension.

There should be atleast 4 hrs of battery life – as promised by the Seattle-based company. Now Tegra will make it pretty fast, and Android 2.0 should give it the Google edge and freedom of an open source that is standing only next to iPhone OS right now. Pricing is not revealed yet, nor the release date.
