The Amazfit T-Rex Ultra smartwatch is receiving a new update, version 9.6.1.2. According to a user report on Facebook, this update is 9.45MB in size, bringing optimizations and bug fixes to the wearable.
The release notes state that version 9.6.1.2 improves the track running algorithm. Zepp Health says that it has fixed inaccurate distance measurements that could occur in certain situations. The company has also tackled a problem where sleep data captured by the smartwatch was not syncing as expected with the Zepp app.
Plus, it appears that Zepp Flow 1.7.0 is rolling out to the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra. This version of the Zepp AI assistant arrived in November when it was shared with Balance smartwatch users. For this model, Zepp Flow 1.7.0 brought smart notification replies to Android users, improved weather forecasts, and more Zepp Aura features like health advice and music controls. Zepp Health has yet to officially confirm which features will be gained by the T-Rex Ultra.
It is unclear when firmware version 9.6.1.2 and Zepp Flow 1.7.0 will reach all users of the Amazfit T-Rex Ultra smartwatch (curr. $349.99 at Amazon). You can download this update in the Zepp app by going to Profile > Amazfit T-Rex Ultra > System Update.
