In recent months, multiple Android OEMs have stepped up with new high-end Android tablet releases. For context, Oppo kicked off proceedings with the Pad 4 Pro, which we put through its paces earlier this month. Meanwhile, Vivo, iQOO and OnePlus have responded in kind, although only the Pad 2 Pro is set to be available globally anytime soon.
According to Digital Chat Station, Honor is not far behind with an alternative of its own. Writing on Weibo, the leaker asserts that the company is developing the MagicPad 3, which will be much larger than RedMagic's upcoming Gaming Tablet 3 Pro. Specifically, Digital Chat Station believes that the MagicPad 3 will line up with a 13-inch display, just like the current iPad Pro 13 (curr. $939 - renewed premium on Amazon).
The leaker adds that the MagicPad 3 will also feature last-generation silicon, as is often the case with tablets. Nonetheless, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM should provide a smooth experience across the tablet's high refresh rate but merely IPS display. Currently, Digital Chat Station expects Honor to release the MagicPad 3 later this month in Floating Gold, Moon Shadow White and Starry Sky Grey colour options with up to 1 TB of storage. While 66 W wired charging capabilities will be onboard, the leaker is unsure of the tablet's battery capacity.
