Google will be heading to I/O 2024 today, having released the Pixel 8a last week. However, Rozetked already got ahead of Google by publishing photos of the Pixel 9 Pro almost a month ago. Now, the same website claims to have received photos from the same anonymous source showing not just the Pixel 9 Pro, but also the Pixel 9 and larger Pixel 9 Pro XL.
For now, Google only includes three rear-facing cameras on its largest flagship, currently the Pixel 8 Pro (curr. $859 on Amazon). Recent @OnLeaks renders suggested that Google would expand its triple camera offering to a smaller Pixel 9 Pro though, which Rozetked's images reinforce. As expected, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are practically the same size, just like the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro.
Similarly, the Pixel 9 Pro has slimmer display bezels than the Pixel 9. As a result, while the former sports a 6.34-inch display, the latter makes do with a smaller 6.24-inch panel. Meanwhile, AIDA64 reports that the Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 6.73-inch display. The trio feature different display resolutions too, which are as follows:
- Pixel 9: 2,424 x 1,080 (425 PPI)
- Pixel 9 Pro: 2,856 x 1,280 (493 PPI)
- Pixel 9 Pro XL: 2,992 x 1,344 (487 PPI)
With that being said, the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL all offer 120 Hz refresh rates, matching the new Pixel 8a (curr. $499 on Amazon). Unsurprisingly, the three Pixel 9 models also utilise AMOLED panels, although this is true of all other Pixel smartphones. Incidentally, Rozetked has detailed camera specifications and other miscellaneous details about the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL too, which we have covered separately.
