A well-known leaker proclaimed One UI 7.0 to be the "biggest update in Galaxy history ". Unfortunately, there's no word about when it will drop, but its beta version usually shows up in mid-to-late October, followed by a full release by late-December. The same leaker said there could be some delays this time around. Now, @chunvn8888 has shed light on some of One UI 7.0's features.
In essence, One UI 7.0 will 'borrow' a lot of iOS 18 features such as Quick Actions on the lockscreen, new gallery app icon that looks similar to iOS' Photos app, and a notification pane that is inspired by iOS/Hyper OS. Other changes include a new camera UI, more rounded app icons and widgets. Much like One UI 6.1.1, we can expect One UI 7.0 to include a bunch of new AI-powered features.
Of course, there could be a lot more under-the-hood changes, but these are the ones that will be most apparent. So far, One UI 7.0's changes seem to be mostly cosmetic. It would be nice if One UI 7.0 bought seamless updates (currently only available on the Galaxy A55) to its support smartphones that came pre-configured with A/B partitions.
