Zero Zero Robotics has shared new details about its next HoverAir drone releases. For context, the company is arguably best known for the HoverAir X1 series. While the HoverAir X1 (curr. $349 on Amazon) is often compared with the DJI Neo, Zero Zero is taking a different approach with the forthcoming HoverAir Aqua.
As we discussed yesterday and unlike its contemporaries, Zero Zero has designed the HoverAir Aqua to float on water. In other words, the Aqua should be one of the only drones suitable for flying over or near rivers, seas and oceans. According to Zero Zero, the HoverAir Aqua weighs around 249 g. Thus, the drone should receive a C0 drone classification in many markets.
In that sense, the HoverAir Aqua appears to be more of an alternative to the DJI Mini 4 Pro than the DJI Neo. Accordingly, the Aqua should more or less match the Mini 4 Pro with a top speed of around 15 m/s (55 kph). Moreover, Zero Zero's new drone is said to be capable of handling up to 17 m/s (61 kph) of wind resistance.
Currently, it is unclear when the HoverAir Aqua will be available. At this stage, Zero Zero has outlined that the drone will be capable of recording videos in 4K at 100 FPS with a 1/1.3-inch camera sensor. Please see the YouTube Short below for more information about Zero Zero's next drone.
