Model:
The beautifully crafted HP Pavilion 15-p006tx oozes quality with its natural silver brushed pattern cover and black interior. Fit and finish should be standard for all other similar priced device, too. There is a black island-style keyboard and an off-center touchpad with good sensitivity and response. The HP Pavilion 15-p006tx features a 15.6 inch HD anti-glare LED backlit panel.
At the heart of the laptop is an Intel Core i7-4510U dual-core processor clocked at 2 GHz with HD Graphics 4400, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3L SDRAM, and an Nvidia GeForce 850M with 2 GB dedicated DDR3 VRAM. Internal storage is a 1 TB SSHD with 8 GB flash cache that strokes a nice balance between capacity and speed. Other hardware includes a SuperMulti DVD burner, a multi-format SD media card reader, 2 USB 3.0 ports and a HDMI output.
Audio on the HP Pavilion 15-p006tx is also another strong point with 2 speakers and Beats Audio technology. Users will definitely find that they have purchased a capable bundle. The laptop is powered by a 4-cell Li-ion battery and the overall weight of the HP Pavilion 15-p006tx is around 2.69 kg.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
4510U: Haswell-based ULV dual-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.1 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4400 and a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
15.60":
15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.2.7 kg:
With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
HP: Founded in 1939, the US company is a major server and printer manufacturer and one of the leading IT companies in the world. Until 2015, the company was called Hewlett-Packard Company. After a split, the computer division was renamed HP Inc.
In 2023, HP had an approximate market share of 22% of global PC sales, making it number 2 after Lenovo.
80%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
