GOG and Amazon Luna announce partnership: Play DRM-free games via the cloud
GOG, respectively Good old Games, the popular platform for DRM-free games, has announced a partnership with the cloud gaming service Amazon Luna. GOG games will soon be playable via Luna.
Not all details of the collaboration have yet been officially announced. For example, we do not know when the partnership will start. There is only talk of "soon". Nor is it known which GOG games will be available on Luna and vice versa. Further updates on the collaboration between GOG and Amazon Luna are to follow.
More flexibility when gaming
GOG mainly offers older games, but also a few AAA titles such as God of War, Cyberpunk 2077 or Baldur's Gate 3. The main advantage of the platform is that the games are offered for download DRM-free. This means that players can download, install and use the games they have purchased on their devices without any restrictions and without being tied to specific platforms or accounts.
In future, selected games from GOG will be available via the Amazon Luna cloud gaming service, which means they can also be played on smartphones or smart TVs. The advantages of the DRM waiver will be retained, so that the games purchased from Luna can also be played offline via the GOG launcher.
