The Casio G-Shock MRG-B2000BG-3A and MRG-B2000RG-3A watches are now available to pre-order in Japan. They were rumored earlier this year when their design and various features were revealed. The MRG-B2000BG-3A has also been listed at the brand’s online store in the UK, seemingly confirming a future launch in this market.
Both Mr-G series watches celebrate kurogane-iro, a blue-green color found in samurai armour. The MRG-B2000BG-3A has a brushed titanium bezel and titanium strap, while the MRG-B2000RG-3A has a recrystallized titanium bezel and a Durasoft fluoro rubber strap. As such, the MRG-B2000BG-3A is slightly heavier at 150 g (~5.3 oz), with the MRG-B2000RG-3A weighing 138 g (~4.9 oz).
The features of these two MRG-B2000 watches are the same. They offer Bluetooth connectivity for various settings and tools in the Casio Watches smartphone app. These are radio-controlled (Multiband 6) watches supporting dual time zones. Other features include a 1-second stopwatch, a countdown timer with a 24-hour range and a daily alarm. Plus, they offer Tough Solar charging and 200 m water resistance.
You can now pre-order the Casio G-Shock MRG-B2000BG-3A and MRG-B2000RG-3A watches in Japan for ¥ 385,000 (~$2,690) each. The pricing and release date of the MRG-B2000BG-3A for the UK market has yet to be announced. It is unclear whether the MRG-B2000RG-3A will also be launched in this country.
