Two of Casio’s new G-Shock Hidden Glow watches are now available at a US retailer. The GA110HDS-7A and the GA700HDS-7A are part of a wider range of six wearables which have already been launched in some European countries. They are available at Zumiez, a mall-based retailer specialising in apparel and accessories linked to extreme sports.
The G-Shock GA110HDS-7A is an analog-digital watch that is shock resistant, magnetic-resistant and water resistant to 200 m. It has a white and blue design with a resin body and a blue phosphorescent face that glows in the dark. There is also an amber LED backlight to help you read the watch at night. The watch supports world time and offers tools like a 1/1000-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. The Casio G-Shock GA110HDS-7A is priced at $140.
The G-Shock GA700HDS-7A is another hybrid wearable, which is also shock resistant and water resistant to 200 m. It has a similar white and blue design with a glow-in-the-dark watch face and a white LED backlight. There is support for world time, a 1/100 second stopwatch, a timer and multiple alarms. This model has a slightly longer battery life estimate of five years. The Casio G-Shock GA700HDS-7A watch is cheaper at $110.
Dedicated Casio blog G-Central has suggested that the four other Hidden Glow watches will also be released in the US. These are the DW6900HDS-7, the DW6900HDS-7A1, the GA2100HDS-7A and the GA2100HDS-7A1. Each of these watches is expected to be priced at $110. It remains to be seen when the Casio Hidden Glow watches will be officially launched in the US.
