Casio G-Shock Fine Metallic watches launching soon in the UK

The Casio G-Shock Fine Metallic watches will shortly launch in the UK. The company released these new gold and silver-colored products in Japan earlier this year. This range includes four models: the GM-5600YM-8, the GM-2100YM-8A, the GM-5600YMG-9 and the GM-2100YMG-9A. Now, Casio has listed all of them on its “Coming Soon” page on the G-Shock UK site.

The GM-5600YM-8, a silver watch, is the cheapest in the range. Its features include an inverted digital display with light figures on a dark background. On top of this, it offers dual time formats, 200 m water resistance, an LED backlight and a five year battery life estimate. There are also tools like a 24-hour countdown timer, a 1/100-second stopwatch and a multifunctional alarm. The GM-5600YMG-9 is a gold version of the GM-5600YM-8, with a typical light display with dark figures.

The GM-2100YM-8A is also silver, though this is a hybrid digital analog watch. It offers similar features to the GM-5600YM-8, with five daily alarms and a shorter battery life estimate at three years. Plus, there is a hand shift function, moving the hands out of the way of the LCD screen. The GM-2100YMG-9A is identical to the GM-2100YM-8A but with a black watch face accompanied by a gold bezel and accents.

All four models have a stainless steel bezel, a resin case reinforced with glass fiber and a matching tough silicone band. The Casio Fine Metallic G-Shock series starts from £229 for the GM-5600YM-8ER in the UK. The price of the GM-2100YM-8AER is £239, the GM-5600YMG-9ER retails for £259, and the GM-2100YMG-9AER costs £279. Details of a rollout in other countries like the US have yet to be revealed.
