Apple will reportedly augment its Services arm with a new feature called Confetti soon. It is slated to help users issue invitations to parties, meetings and other functions. It might be integrated into iCloud, and is also apparently intended to be compatible with the latest update to iOS for the iPhone.

Apple is widely perceived as still looking for its 'next iPhone'; however, its latest forays into new technologies, namely its ultra-premium mixed-reality headset the Vision Pro is arguably not it.

Similarly, Apple Intelligence has been touted as the killer feature for the iPhone 16 series, yet has had its teething issues - not to mention failure to find approval to even roll out worldwide - thus far.

The Cupertino giant still has its Services, though, which it has found to be among the most profitable areas of its business these days, as indicated by its latest financial report.

Services such as TV+, Music, Fitness+ and Podcasts are to be joined by Confetti soon, according to Bloomberg contributor Mark Gurman. It is slated to improve on the relatively basic 'invitation' part of the OEM's current Calendar app with a more extensive (and "fun", apparently) suite of features that might include RSVP management.

The feature is projected to live in iCloud and to be accessible either via web or the iPhone UI, according to references to it allegedly found in an iOS 18.3 code tear-down.

The iPhone 16 Pro: currently available for just under $1,000 in Renewed Premium condition on Amazon.
