After (yet another) disastrous Nvidia GPU launch, AMD is here to save the day once again. The Radeon RX 9060 XT is finally here, and much like the RTX 5060 Ti, it is offered in 8 GB and 16 GB flavours. But it will stick with GDDR6 VRAM like its other RDNA 4 counterparts.
Specs-wise, the RX 9060 XT has 32 CUs, 32 hardware ray tracing accelerators and 64 hardware AI accelerators for FSR 4.0, a boost clock of 3.13 GHz, and a total board power of up to 182 Watts. Of course, OEM-overclocked models will push both values much higher.
AMD claims the RX 9060 XT can outperform the RTX 5060 Ti by 6% on average in 40 games at 1440p. Interestingly, the RDNA 4 GPU has a slight edge in Cyberpunk 2077, a historically Nvidia-favoured title. Nevertheless, this is still impressive because historically, Nvidia always had more of an edge.
The Radeon RX 9060 XT will cost $299for the 8 GB variant and $349 for the 16 GB variant. The latter, in particular, should offer great value because it undercuts the 5060 Ti by a good amount. Of course, finding one at MSRP will be the main challenge when the cards hit shelves on June 5.
