AMD is said to be working on a slightly downgraded Radeon RX 9060. It will arrive in only an 8 GB flavour and perform more or less par with the 9060 XT.

Recent leaks suggest AMD isn't done launching RDNA 4 graphics cards this generation. Some high-end GPUs are due in the coming months, likely as an answer to Nvidia's RTX 50 Super refresh, which is slated to arrive before 2024 ends. Videocardz has discovered yet another GPU, but on the other end of the spectrum.

AMD is said to be working on a Radeon RX 9060 non-XT variant with 8 GB VRAM and a Navi 44 XL GPU. Interestingly, it has an identical CU count (32) as its XT-branded counterpart. The main differences will lie in its boost clocks (2.99 GHz) and 18 Gbps GDDR6 VRAM modules (vs 20 Gbps on the 9060 XT). It does not have a release date at this point. Entry-level SKUs are usually launched without fanfare, so it could show up any time in the coming weeks/months.

If the Radeon RX 9060 actually materialises, the chances of an RX 9070 non-XT variant showing up also go up, although it might have a tough time positioning itself between the 9070 XT and 9060 XT. Whether AMD will launch an RTX 5050 equivalent remains to be seen, but it might not need to because the RX 9060 just might be it.
