Reviews for the Realme 8s 5G

Realme 8s Review, Pros and Cons
Source: OI Spice Tech News English
The Realme 8S 5G has undoubtedly improved over the Realme 8 as you’ll get more accurate features with a similar Realme UI experience. In addition, the phone offers smooth refresh rate settings, a new chipset, gyro-EIS support, a massive 5000 mAh battery with a 33W fast charger. All these features justify the price but we cannot overlook the fact that the phone lacks some of the remarkable features of the 5G phone. For example, the phone didn’t have NFC enabled or 4K video recording support, but that’s one of the things the company needs to scale down to maintain the cost-effective 5G tag. Of course, users will only miss out on several features of this tag as the cost of the 5G component is slightly higher. But if you’re looking for a decent and affordable 5G phone, the Realme 8s 5G is a fantastic deal. Still, if you’re getting a discount on the Realme 8 5G, buy it first as most features are similar. If you are looking for an alternative option with the 5G tag, there are several options available on the market, like the Motorola G51 smartphone.

76% Realme 8s 5G review
Source: GSM Arena English
The Realme 8 5G was already a solid device at a very competitive price. The Realme 8s 5G successfully boosted the value proposition even further. You get a newer and better MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset, a higher-res 64MP main camera, complete with EIS and faster 33W charging for the 5,000 mAh battery, which delivers excellent battery life. All of this, essentially without inflating the price tag. To be clear, it's far from a perfect device. Depending on your priorities, some features, notably absent on the Realme 8s 5G, that you might be able to get elsewhere include ingress protection, stereo speakers, 4K video capture. An all-around better display might also be on the table. But, nitpicking aside, the Realme 8 5G remains an easy recommendation, particularly if you are in the market for a budget 5G-capable handset. It does not disappoint.

To summarize, the 8s 5G has not lived up to my expectations in terms of cameras or display. While 2021 has seen a flurry of budget and mid-range smartphones with an AMOLED screen and a fairly competitive camera setup, Realme’s bow falls short in both areas. But since it’s a pretty reasonably priced 5G phone, it is entirely up to you whether you want a 5G device with mediocre specs or a 4G handset with superior features.

80% Realme 8s 5G Review: Different or Still the Same?

Realme keeps launching new smartphones, often with overlapping prices. While this results in more options for consumers, it might also cause confusion. The Realme 8s 5G has one of the most powerful processors available at this price point and will appeal to consumers looking for performance. However, to keep the price in check, Realme has gone for a 90Hz display instead of the 120Hz panel that it offers on the Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G (Review), and has cut back on the usefulness of the cameras. The triple camera setup on the Realme 8s 5G is good, but I would have preferred an ultra-wide angle camera over the macro camera. The Realme 8s 5G could be a good option for the price but you might also want to consider the slightly more affordable Realme Narzo 30 Pro 5G, or the Realme 8 Pro at the same price. Those looking at the top variant of the Realme 8s 5G could look at the iQoo Z3 as a more powerful alternative.

The smartphone is available in two color variants – Universal Purple and Universal Blue. The phone is available for Rs. 17,999 for the 6+128GB variant and Rs. 19,999 for the 8+128GB variant. For this price, you get a device that looks fantastic, handles everyday tasks with ease, has a powerful main camera, and supports 5G. Coming to the competition, the iQOO Z3 5G comes very close at 19,990 to the Realme 8s 5G and features a 120Hz display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G chipset. You can also save some money and get the Redmi Note 10T 5G if 5G is the only thing you care most about. However, all the devices we mentioned above feature an LCD display, but if you want a device that features an AMOLED display with 5G support, you can check out the Realme X7 once.

Realme 8s 5G Review: Just Another Budget 5G Smartphone!
Source: Cashify English
The RealMe 8s is a great device, especially in terms of display and performance. The company has launched this phone with a MediaTek chipset, and it is the fiery version of the phone company already launched called RealMe 8 5G. The phone lacks in areas like the absence of stereo speakers and a good quality AMOLED screen, but it is still a good device to go for due to its solid performance. There are better options available in the market right now but if you are a fan of Realme and looking for a value for money 5G device, this is the option to consider.

70% Realme 8s 5G review: plenty of performance
Source: 91mobiles English
The Realme 8s proves to be an efficient, performance-oriented smartphone. The fact that it’s 5G-capable is an added bonus that customers will start to appreciate in due time, but immediately noticeable will be the excellent low-light photo capturing capabilities of the device. RAM and storage options are good for the starting price and the presence of virtual RAM and a separate microSD card slot is always a nice addition. The device exudes a great in-hand feel for its price and is well balanced in terms of design aesthetics. Some qualms I have with the phone are the absence of an ultra-wide lens, the rather mediocre macro shooter, and the lack of stereo speakers. If these look like deal-breakers to you, then perhaps the Redmi Note 10 Pro could suffice as an alternative. However, if it is good performance and nighttime photography you are after with 5G capability sprinkled on top, the Realme 8s is a reasonable choice.

6.50":

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

76.6%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
