iPhone 15 Pro: New shared renders showcase changes for Apple's next compact flagship iPhone ↺
9to5Mac has shared updated iPhone 15 Pro renders, nearly two months after the website revealed CAD-based renders of the same smartphone. Incidentally, 9to5Mac leaked equivalent renders of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. In short, Apple's Pro models will receive more new features than their cheaper counterparts, such as Taptic buttons and a titanium frame.
Now, 9to5Mac has teamed up with Ian Zelbo to provide a detailed look at the iPhone 15 Pro and how its display compares against its predecessor. While the iPhone 15 Pro Max is rumoured to offer the smallest bezels of this year's iPhones, the iPhone 15 Pro is still expected to have over 25% thinner bezels than the current iPhone 14 Pro.
Also, 9to5Mac claims that the iPhone 15 Pro will be slightly narrower and shorter than its predecessor. Specifically, the website alleges that the iPhone 15 Pro measures 146.47 x 70.46 x 8.2 mm, compared to 147.46 x 71.45 x 7.84 mm for the iPhone 14 Pro. It is worth noting that this year's Pro will feature an even larger camera housing though, which now appears to span over half the width of the device's back panel. Thus, the iPhone 15 Pro may looker significantly thicker the iPhone 14 Pro.
Moreover, 9to5Mac claims to have obtained the colour code for Apple's new red colour that will supersede last year's Deep Purple. Purportedly, the hex colour code is 410D0D, which is more maroon than 9to5Mac render suggests. The website's renders show Apple's rumoured new Taptic buttons too, although these have been known for a while at this stage. Currently, Apple is expected to announce the entire iPhone 15 series in September alongside Apple Watch refreshes.
