Apple iPad Pro 11 2020: An expensive, but very high-quality tablet
At first glance, the iPad Pro 11 2020 may only seem like a small update compared to the previous model. However, there are a couple of great new features and the prices were reduced.

An iPad with a dual-camera? This now exists, since apart from the normal camera, the iPad Pro 11 2020 now comes with a wide-angle lens and a zooming feature with multiple steps that utilizes both optics.

The new features of the iPad Pro 11 do not stop there: For example, the base version now offers more storage at 128 GB instead of 64 GB and 6 GB of RAM. And the price? It remains unchanged or has even dropped for the more expensive versions. What a welcome surprise!

Of course, at a price of 879 Euros ($799) for the basic configuration, the iPad Pro 11 is not exactly cheap, but it is designed to be primarily a work device. Working with the tablet is a particularly pleasant experience thanks to the 120-Hz display, which makes everything look buttery smooth. Naturally, the Apple Pencil 2 can still be used and with the Magic Keyboard, Apple is planning to release a Keyboard Folio that features a full-fledged keyboard in May, which we will take a closer look at once we get the opportunity to.

There are already numerous exciting accessories, iPad OS comes with a couple of new features and the Wi-Fi of the iPad Pro 11 2020 is even faster than its predecessor. In terms of battery life, it is still far ahead of all the other tablets in our comparison, even though the battery is marginally smaller than that of the iPad Pro 2018.

We were unable to test to what extent gaming benefits from the 120-Hz refresh rate of the display and whether the tablet throttles when under long-term stress, since many benchmarks are not yet compatible with the new iPad OS. We will also append these results to the review once the necessary updates have been released.

The only drawbacks that come to mind currently are the display's somwhat slow response times and the case's high flexibility, although in turn, it is quite lightweight at less than 500 grams. Lastly, we do not consider Apple's warranty period of only 12 months to be very customer-friendly.

In-depth test results with test images from the camera and a lab analysis of the display can be found in our big review of the Apple iPad Pro 11 2020.
