Xiaomi presents the Mi TV EA series in seven sizes ranging from 32-inches to 75-inches
It may be April 2021, but Xiaomi has already unveiled seven Mi '2022' TVs. The EA series is Xiaomi's new budget range of TVs, with the entry-level EA32 starting at just CNY 999 (~US$153). However, prices rise to CNY 4,999 (~US$768) for the EA75. While the EA75 is several times more expensive than the EA32, it remains cheaper than almost every 75-inch TV of which we are aware.
All models have 2 mm bezels on three of their four sides, but it is worth noting that the EA32 is only a 720p TV. Stepping up to the EA40 and EA43 brings a native 1080p resolution, but the EA50 is the cheapest 4K TV at CNY 2,199 (~US$338). Additionally, none of the TVs can output at higher than 60 Hz.
Xiaomi distinguishes its EA series TVs by more than resolution, too. For example, the 720p and 1080p options have dual-core Amlogic CPUs, whereas the 4K models have quad-core ones. Additionally, the 4K models possess 50% more RAM and have superior speakers. The EA50 and upwards have built-in microphones for voice control too, while the smaller TVs must make do without that functionality.
The Mi TV EA 2022 series will go on sale in China from April 25. It is unclear if Xiaomi plans to bring the TVs to Europe or other markets, unfortunately.
