Xiaomi Mijia Freezer 203L launches with 100-hour power outage protection

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Freezer 203L in China. The device has a large capacity; the company suggests it can hold up to 170 kg (~375 lbs) of fresh pork ribs. A basket at the top of the freezer rests on the lip, creating separate storage space. The Mijia product can freeze 9 kg (~20 lbs) of food every 12 hours, using, on average, 0.54 kWh of energy per day and the freezer is rated first-class energy efficient.

There are four modes to choose from, with deep freeze and quick freeze options. You can use the rotary handle thermostat to adjust the temperature from -30 °C (~22°F) to 5 °C (~41 °F), allowing you to use the product as a fridge, should you wish. 3D surround cooling spirals in the device ensure the temperature is consistent throughout the freezer. Xiaomi claims that the freezer can run quietly, generating 37 dB of noise and maintaining a low temperature for up to 100 hours in case of a power outage.
