Xiaomi Mi 11i becomes the latest device to receive MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition globally
Xiaomi has brought another device onto MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, having already upgraded the likes of the POCO F3 and Mi 11 Ultra. This time, Xiaomi has updated the Mi 11i, codenamed 'haydn_global'. The Mi 11i shares a development branch with the Mi 11X Pro, Redmi K40 Pro and Redmi K40 Pro Plus, for reference.
V12.5.2.0.RKKMIXM not only includes MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, but also the September 2021 Android security patch. According to the build's changelog, Xiaomi has also fixed Cleaner app animations, lock screen notifications disappearing after ending a call and a crash caused by using face and fingerprint unlock simultaneously.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition itself introduces atomized memory, focused algorithms, liquid storage and swift performance, the latter of which Xiaomi always promises with new MIUI updates. In short, MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition should be less taxing than previous versions of MIUI, thereby increasing performance and reducing power consumption.
You can download V12.5.2.0.RKKMIXM manually via the links below. Please note that the OTA file is the smaller of the two downloads, but you should only install it atop V12.5.1.0.RKKMIXM. Xiaomi only intends this version of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition for the Mi 11i on MIUI's global branch. Xiaomi has not updated the European equivalent since July, so MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition is probably not far away for this regional model, though.
