Deal | With 76% positive reviews, this strategy game set in Ancient Rome is 80% off on Steam

Released in 2004, Rome: Total War, the third title in the franchise, was a very popular game. Players could control various factions and conquer different cities, including Rome. Total War: Rome Remastered is its remastered version, and according to SteamDB, it is currently priced at $5.99 instead of $29.99 until August 27, 2026.
As such, the gameplay remains similar to that of the original. You must expand your territory, recruit various units, build a balanced army, and defeat other factions in real-time battles. Different choices can also be made on the world map, which will determine the course of your campaign, such as forming and breaking alliances, or establishing trade routes.
However, several improvements have been made to optimize the player experience. Indeed, the graphics and textures have been updated, adding more detail to buildings, the environment, and units. These improved visuals are often praised by players on Steam, where the game has 76% positive reviews out of 13,654 reviews.
This game includes 38 playable factions, as well as the Alexander and Barbarian Invasion DLCs. New features are also available, such as a new tactical map and a different user interface.

Despite its strengths, several bugs have been reported. Indeed, players point out that they can occur during combat or at the end of a turn. In addition, the enemy AI and some factions may feel unbalanced. Although the interface has been improved, it is not to everyone's liking, as it can sometimes be difficult to navigate. Finally, while this game is currently 80% off on Steam, this price was already reached on April 16, 2026.
