Currently on sale on Steam and developed by Creative Assembly, Total War: Attila immerses you in late antiquity as the Scourge of God threatens Europe. You'll have to choose your faction and do whatever it takes to achieve your goals.

Total War: Attila is a turn-based strategy game in the Total War series set in late antiquity. As a player, you can either fight Attila, who threatens Rome, join his side, or take advantage of the chaos to build your own kingdom.

To do so, several factions are available, such as the Visigoths, the Huns, the Western Roman Empire, and the Vandals. By choosing a faction, you’ll be immersed in a challenging political context and will have to face numerous conflicts, some of which take place right in the heart of your kingdom.

Expand your territory and pursue your goals in this world ravaged by war, famine, and disease by raising armies, forging alliances, and conquering other cities in real-time tactical battles. However, every choice can have consequences. You’ll therefore need to make the right decisions while keeping an eye on the actions of the other factions.

Released on February 17, 2015, this game introduced several improvements over previous titles, including politics, civic management, and technological progression. In addition, it also features online battles and a co-op campaign mode that you can play with a friend.

However, some critics have pointed out that several factions place a greater emphasis on survival, while players have also encountered optimization issues.

Currently, Total War: Attila is 80% off on Steam, which means that, according to SteamDB, you can buy it for $8.99 instead of $44.99 until August 27, 2026.
