"Where the heck is GTA 6?": Man runs on stage to demand the release date of Rockstar's new game during live TV show
A peculiar incident took place during the latest episode of the German game show "Beat the Star", which aired live during primetime last Saturday night. Right at the beginning of the show, a spectator unexpectedly left his seat and decided to run on the stage in order to confront the baffled show host and candidate with a relatable question about the still unknown release date of the successor to Grand Theft Auto 5 (from US$20 on Amazon).
The man more or less politely introduced himself with his name, but then quickly got to the point. "I'd like to know, where the heck is GTA 6? I'm still waiting for GTA 6, it's been 8 years." The show's host Elton, who is apparently a gamer himself, immediately understood what the uninvited visitor was asking. He reacted calmly and offered the man from the audience an improvised answer: "GTA 6, I really don't know, there should someday be a...but that's not on me, the developers have to...".
The man consequently requested the host to set an example and scream directly into the camera asking the question where GTA 6 was. Elton's response was clever: "No, I don't need to do that, I haven't even finished GTA 5 yet." After approximately half a minute, the situation was resolved peacefully when the man was escorted from the stage. Even if you don't understand German, we have embedded a video of the awkward encounter below and sincerely hope that Rockstar will soon announce at least some details on Grand Theft Auto 6, ideally before more people turn crazy and interrupt a live TV show to ask for the game.
