The Walkman Blog has shared new details about the WF-C710N, which is expected to line up ahead of the WF-1000XM6 and WH-1000XM6 later this year. To that end, the website has been sent what appear to be official product images. Typically, these are only produced shortly before a device's official release and after it has received necessary regulatory approvals.
The WF-C710N should match recent Sony earbud releases with active noise cancellation (ANC) and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity. The earbuds will only support AAC and SBC codecs though, as well as just IPX4 certification. Moreover, The Walkman Blog reports that Sony will advertise the WF-C710N as delivering up to 30 hours of battery life, albeit only with ANC disabled and its charging case factored in.
According to The Walkman Blog, Sony intends to sell the WF-C710N for between $110 and $120 in black, 'glass blue', pink and white finishes. In other words, the earbuds should retail for about as much as the WF-C700N (curr. $78 on Amazon) when it debuted in early 2023. Currently, The Walkman Blog expects Sony to release the WF-C710N in 'late May'.
