The vivo Y500 Pro earns its reputation as a true “mini-flagship” for everyday users, delivering performance and features that feel far beyond its price tag. Its camera setup is easily one of the strongest highlights. The 200MP main shooter—powered by the Samsung HP5 sensor—brings a level of clarity and detail rarely seen in this segment. With its high-resolution capture and upgraded telephoto algorithms, the phone handles both casual photography and zoom shots with impressive consistency, giving mid-range users a real taste of flagship-grade imaging. Battery life is another area where the Y500 Pro stands out. The 7000mAh semi-solid battery offers the perfect blend of longevity, safety, and efficiency even in harsh temperatures, yet the phone still manages to stay relatively slim and comfortable.

The Vivo Y500 Pro, announced on November 10 and released on November 14, 2025, arrives as a value-focused phone with a premium touch. It has a slim 7.8 mm body, weighs around 198 grams, and uses Diamond Shield Glass on both front and back, giving it a cleaner look and better durability. The phone also carries an IP68 rating, so it can handle dust and survive water immersion for long durations. Vivo offers it in four colors, Black, Green, Pink, and Gold, giving users a fair mix of subtle and vibrant choices. The design feels sturdy despite the plastic frame, and the anti-reflective coating on the front helps with outdoor visibility. The display is one of the highlights. You get a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with 1B colors, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, 3840-level PWM dimming, and brightness that reaches 1600 nits at peak, making it easy to use even in harsh sunlight.

Vivo Y500, exactly what it wants to be is a phone that caters to you without bankrupting you. The large battery, lovely AMOLED screen and scarce IP68/IP69 waterproofing make it a true contender to be a persistent choice for day-to-day consumers. Don't look for gaming muscle or 5G though. However, if battery life and screen quality are more important than raw power, the Y500 may be a worthwhile consideration.

77%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
