Vivo has just released the X300 and X300 Pro globally, having presented the pair that same month in China. Nonetheless, the company has already confirmed on Weibo that it has a new smartphone waiting in the wings. Rather than the rumoured S50 series, Vivo has decided to launch the Y500 Pro next week in its home market as a new 'people's little flagship'.
Specifically, Vivo will present the device on Monday, November 10. Ahead of its official release, Vivo has confirmed that the Y500 Pro will combine hardware like a 7,000 mAh battery and a 200 MP primary camera. For reference, the ISOCELL HP5 mentioned can already be found inside the Galaxy S25 Edge (curr. $644.99 on Amazon).
However, Vivo may complement this sensor with 2 MP auxiliary lenses rather than a dedicated ultra-wide-angle or telephoto camera. Regardless, the Y500 Pro is IP69 certified and is said to protect its 6.67-inch display with the same 'satin' anti-glare glass as Vivo's current flagship smartphones. Sporting OriginOS 6 out of the box, recent Geekbench listings indicate that the Y500 Pro will also feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset and 12 GB of RAM like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro and other competing devices.
