Toshiba adds more Satellite P50-C SKUs with GTX 950M GPU and Skylake

Toshiba today announced three new trim levels for its existing Satellite P50-C series. The news comes less than two months after expanding the lineup back in early December, but the latest SKUs will now be updated with a Core i7-6700HQ CPU with the same GTX 950M GPU and 4 GB of DDR3 VRAM. The SKUs will differ largely based on the storage solutions used. The P50-C-16R and P50-C-1C7, for example, will both use a 1 TB SSHD with 8 GB SSD cache compared to the dedicated M.2 SSD in the P50t-C-10T.

The top-end P50t-C-10T will have a handful of lucrative features including its pre-calibrated 15.6-inch UHD (3840 x 2160) ChromaTune touchscreen display. The core hardware and Windows 10 Home software are otherwise identical down to the Harman/Kardon speakers with DTS customization.

As previously mentioned, Toshiba will be offering 200 Euros worth of free extended warranty for most new notebook purchases made from now until March 31, 2016. Users must register their new purchases with the manufacturer within 14 days to receive the extra warranty benefits.
