The "Apple TV 2020" is now set to be introduced on December 8, 2020. This event may be an under-the-radar affair, but is touted to unveil a new 4K device with 64 to 128GB storage options. It is now also thought to be powered by an A12Z Bionic SoC.

The Twitter user @LeaksApplePro now asserts that the next streaming box from this OEM is almost upon us. Then again, this device is now alleged to get an A12Z Bionic processor, with the option of an A14 formerly attributed to it apparently now off the cards. Similarly, its internal storage may be 128GB at the most.

Nevertheless, this apparently incremental upgrade over the current Apple TV hardware will support 4K, at least, ultimately leaving HD in the dust as LeaksApplePro insists. Therefore, it is now projected not to get much of a launch event; in fact, it would not be surprising if such a refresh appeared silently in an update to the Cupertino giant's online store.

On the other hand, the rumored launch could prove as good a juncture as any at which to finally debut long-awaited products such as the Apple AirTags. Similarly, the AirPods Studio have yet to make an appearance, and could make a popular purchase as the world celebrates 2020 finally drawing to a close.
