Fans of the brand OnePlus might be awaiting flagships projected to take their numerical series name into double digits for the first time in 2022. However, according to the latest word on these devices, they might fail to provide much novelty on their reveal in that year. They are now slated to emerge as iterative upgrades - in terms of looks, that is.

The term "OnePlus 10" might evoke prospective images of smartphones with rear panels crafted so as to accentuate their brand's Hasselblad partnership, which will move into its second year on the series' reveal in 2022. However, a new tip purports to roundly debunk such wistful ideas concerning the BBK Electronics subsidiary's plans for its upcoming flagships.

OnePlus may have borne the motto "Never Settle" throughout its history; however, according to the leaker Yogesh Brar, when it comes to the 10-series' esthetics it has gone and done the opposite. Brar now asserts that the upcoming premium devices are "polished" versions of the current 9 series.

This implies that their design will largely be re-used, albeit with some refinements, for their successors. The tipster has presented this news alongside indications that OnePlus might intend to further expand its Nord mid-range line in the near future.

Finally, Brar has mentioned the potential for "some new accessories at the next launch". This could be taken to mean some more OnePlus peripherals will emerge alongside the rumored 9RT, painted as an impending refresh of the existing 9R flagship variant mostly sold in India and China to date.
