The Xiaomi Mi A3 has received a new update. The update apparently upgrades the device to the August 2020 security patches, among other changes like stability improvements and performance optimisations. The update is rolling out now as an OTA.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 has received another update, this time for devices on the European branch of MIUI. Earlier this month, Xiaomi rolled out V11.0.20.0.QFQMIXM to global handsets, which introduced the August 2020 set of security patches among other changes like unspecified bug fixes, stability improvements and performance optimisations.

Now, an equivalent update has landed for European handsets. Xiaomi has called this V11.0.6.0.QFQEUXM and it is rolling out to devices now. The update also upgrades the Mi A3 to the August 2020 set of security patches and optimises system performance. It supposedly improves system stability too, albeit in ways that Xiaomi is unwilling to explain.

V11.0.6.0.QFQEUXM will arrive as an over-the-air (OTA) upgrade for devices that have been enrolled on the European branch of MIUI. You can check whether your device is eligible by heading to About Phone and checking whether the current build number contains QFQEUXM. If it does, then it should receive V11.0.6.0.QFQEUXM in the coming days. If you would like to install the update now but you have not received a notification to do so, then you can do so manually by downloaded the Fastboot ROM via the link below. Please bear in mind that the Fastboot ROM is a 1.2 GB download, which is significantly larger than the OTA.
